Larry Ruff – CEO & Founder Mr. Ruff has 29 years experience in business management, marketing, and sales. His insights and advice on personal finance have been taken to heart by thousands of clients across the country. While no longer in the credit counseling business, he is a credit-counseling industry consultant and speaker at industry conventions. In 1984 he founded Liberty Mint, Inc., a manufacturer and worldwide marketer and distributor of commemorative coins and precious metal sculpture, which he took public in 1997. Prior to that he worked in the real estate industry where he founded Ruff Investments, a successful syndicator of large residential apartment buildings in the Atlanta, Georgia area. As a 50% owner of Timpanogos Realty his personal sales exceeded $20 million in his first three years. He majored in Financial and Estate Planning at Brigham Young University with a minor in Economics.

Ron Hammond – Chief Financial Officer Mr. Hammond is a Senior Finance executive with significant experience in all aspects of Finance and administration. He has recently been involved on an advisory basis in assisting start-up and emerging growth companies in raising financing and structuring the corporate finance function. From 1996 to 2003 Mr. Hammond was the Chief Financial Officer Of PowerQuest Corporation, a developer of computer systems software, where he was instrumental in assisting the company obtain growth capital, managed relationships with investors, lending banks, and board of directors, as well as assisting with the $150 million sale of the Company to Symantec in 2003. From 1989 to 1996, Mr. Hammond served as the Senior Vice President, Finance, as well as Secretary to the Board of Directors, for Quarterdeck Office Systems, a developer of computer systems software, where he oversaw the finance and administration functions while the company grew from approximately $10 million in revenues to over $100 million in revenues, and to a market capitalization in excess of $1 billion. Mr. Hammond oversaw the successful initial public offering of Quarterdeck stock in 1991, and served as the principal investor relations contact for the company through 1996. From 1984 to 1989, Mr. Hammond was a manager in the Private Business Advisory practice of KPMG, an international accounting firm, assisting private business clients with audit, tax and accounting services. Mr. Hammond has a Masters of Management Accounting degree from Brigham Young University.

David Bollard – Director of Marketing Dave comes to Nine Year Mortgage with over 15 years of marketing experience in the Entertainment, Healthcare, Financial and Hotel & Tourism Industries. Prior to joining Nine year Mortgage, Dave has served as a Marketing Director, Marketing Manager and Public Relations Manager for several companies including the Larry H. Miller Sports & Entertainment Group, Virgen Advertising, Fasen Arts Design and Dentrix Dental Systems. Dave has a wealth of knowledge in graphic and multimedia design, public relations, Radio and TV, direct mail, research, trade shows and website design. He specializes in business to business and business to consumer marketing and will be instrumental in strengthening the Nine Year Mortgage brand. Dave went to the University of Nevada Las Vegas and Southern Utah University. He holds multiple professional certifications and licenses and is fluent in Spanish.

Bill Erickson – Director of Customer Service Bill came to Nine Year Mortgage with years of experience in the financial banking, mortgage, sales and customer service industry. After a successful career in the military, Bill transitioned to the financial industry and worked for companies such as First Security Bank, Jefferson Mortgage and New Freedom Mortgage. He has held positions such as Installment Loan Officer, Real Estate Loan Officer and Commercial Loan Officer. He is a natural leader and has managed multiple branches, sales teams and is currently head of the Nine Year Mortgage Customer Service division. Bill went to Brigham Young University with a degree in accounting and business management.

Howard Ruff – Board of Directors In 1975, Howard began publishing “The Ruff Times,” a financial advisory newsletter “written for Main Street, not Wall Street,” that boasted the largest circulation of its kind in the world. Howard’s 1979 book, the legendary “How to Prosper During the Coming Bad Years,” topped the national best-seller lists for two years. It was the best-selling financial book in history, with three million copies in print. This was followed by a national TV show, RUFFHOU$E, seen in 300 cities nationwide.

David Ruff – Board of Directors Most recently, David has served as president of Hi-Q Nutrition, marketers of food supplements for brain development. Prior to that, he was the co-founder and Senior VP of Operations for PowerQuest Corporation for seven years. As co-founder, he managed the physical growth of the company from 2 to 275 employees while revenue grew from $0 to $62 million per year. David received his Bachelors degree in Electronic Engineering Technology from Brigham Young University.

Chris Washburn – Advisory Board Chris has a highly successful track record in both Fortune 500 corporations and start-up companies. He received his MBA from the Marriott School of Management and his Law Degree from the J. Reuben Clark Law School, both at Brigham Young University. He was selected to be a Legislative Advisor and speechwriter for Senator Orrin Hatch. He worked for Nissan Motor Corporation as Financial Analyst, Corporate Counsel, and Manager of Dealer Agreements where he proposed, and then engineered the profitable buyout of 50 auto dealerships throughout the country. He directed worldwide sales, marketing, and strategy for EV Global Motors Company, a developer and marketer of electric vehicles in Los Angeles, California, where he reported directly to Lee Iacocca, Chairman.
